The Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary committee has served as many things for self-interested people with an agenda. We have heard that one of the upsides was that it put attention on the issue of rape in America. As if that horrible crime has been ignored in our society. It hasn’t. Others have said it focuses on victims, many who do not report the crime because they won’t be believed. There is no way unfortunately of having accurate data on crimes not reported. Politically, the left has made a cottage industry on using sensitive and explosive issues to hatch a political movement like MeToo, Black Lives Matter (remember hands up, don’t shoot?) and now taking a knee during the National Anthem in the NFL.

25-year veteran journalist says only Obama administration this closed
The Obama administration, already criticized for a lack of transparency and evenhandedness with the press, today reached a new milestone when, with a terse accusation of lack of “professional courtesy and respect,” the U.S. United Nations mission refused without explanation a request for WND’s veteran U.N. reporter to attend a government event.
The event: A meeting with U.N. correspondents marking the end of the month-long tenure of U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice as chief of the Security Council. The WND reporter: Stewart Stogel, a 25-year U.N. correspondent who has also worked for ABC News, NBC News and been featured in many other news outlets including Time and Newsweek.
Stogel requested permission to attend the event by asking Mark Kornblau, director of communications and spokesman for the United States Mission to the United Nations.
“Would appreciate the opportunity to attend Rice’s press reception as her Security Council presidency ends for April,” he wrote to Kornblau.
“When you start treating our Mission with professional courtesy and respect, we will be happy to reciprocate,” was Kornblau’s entire response.
Stogel asked for a further explanation but received none.

Occupy Wall Street (OWS) Training: Their Target is the Tea Party #tcot

Hundreds of OWS training workshops took place this month throughout the country, in all 50 states, including small rural areas. Inside one of the training workshops, attendees report that OWS is “specifically instructed to go to any and all Tea Party gatherings, rallies, etc., to be confrontational and create havoc and disruption.”
They are being trained to recruit and enlarge their numbers in their assigned geographic locations, to use the correct messaging, to incite any opponents, engage in confrontation, employ tactics to evade police blockades and create gridlock.
OWS workshops are extremely organized and clearly well funded. Each workshop had a trainer, DVD’s, handouts and a training manual.
OWS has deep pockets and they will be providing food, water, entertainment and more… just as we saw last Fall with the gourmet meals, tents, hotel rooms and printing presses for their newspapers.
OWS is not a grassroots movement, as demonstrated by the training, resources and coordination at their workshops. OWS is orchestrated and organized by George Soros’ MoveOn.org and Media Matters, Van Jones, Steve Lerner, Francis Fox-Piven, Barack Obama, Union leaders (e.g. SEIU, AFL/CIO, UAW), Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and other radical far-left anti-American organizations who are dedicated to the destruction of our free market system and the overthrow of our Constitutional form of government.

A bill already passed by the Senate and set to be rubber stamped by the House would make it mandatory for all new cars in the United States to be fitted with black box data recorders from 2015 onwards.
Section 31406 of Senate Bill 1813 (known as MAP-21), calls for “Mandatory Event Data Recorders” to be installed in all new automobiles and legislates for civil penalties to be imposed against individuals for failing to do so.
“Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall revise part 563 of title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, to require, beginning with model year 2015, that new passenger motor vehicles sold in the United States be equipped with an event data recorder that meets the requirements under that part,” states the bill.

Immigration enforcement program to be shut down
WASHINGTON – The Obama administration is starting to shut down a program that deputized local police officers to act as immigration agents.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have trained local officers around the country to act as their agencies' immigration officers. Working either in jails or in the field, the officers can check the immigration status of suspects and place immigration holds on them.
The program, known as 287(g), reached its peak under President George W. Bush, when 60 local agencies signed contracts with ICE to implement it. But that trend slowed significantly under President Obama— only eight agencies have signed up since he took office, and none has done so since August 2010.
Now, in their proposed budget for the upcoming year,Department of Homeland Security officials say they will not sign new contracts for 287(g) officers working in the field and will terminate the "least productive" of those agreements — saving an estimated $17 million. All the contracts between ICE and local police agencies run for three years, so that portion of the program could be finished by November when the last contract for field officers expires.

Remember that debate between Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich, where Mr. Gingrich suggested we should expand and strengthen the Patriot Act in the name of protecting US citizens from terrorists? Mr. Gingrich indicated that there exists a line between criminal law and the war on terror, and that we need not worry the government will overstep its bounds.
While Americans enjoy the Thanksgiving weekend and join the annual running of the bulls celebration at malls and retail outlets, something sinister is taking place in Congress - and it should scare the hell out of you. If the President and Senate have their way, your front lawn will soon become a battlefield, and you'll be subjected to military, not criminal, law.

The Occupy Wall Street movement has received so much media coverage in recent weeks that it’s nearly impossible to keep abreast of all the developments. So many endorsements and criticisms coming from all directions enter the news cycle in such rapid succession that even the most dedicated news junkies may have missed out on many of the pronouncements. Supporters and detractors of OWS both might find it useful to have a handy all-inclusive list of who has endorsed or embraced the protest.
To satisfy that demand, we hereby present a list of groups, organizations, individuals and entities that have expressed their support for, sponsorship of, or sympathy for the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Note: All entries on this list are real and verified. Below each entry you will find a series of source links documenting the support for OWS. We have striven in almost all cases to reference either first-hand statements by the groups or individuals themselves, hosted on their own Web sites; or videos of the people in question voicing their support for OWS at various Occupations; or news reports from reliable mainstream networks; or articles by publications or organizations sympathetic to the Occupy movement; or indisputable evidence, whatever the source. As a result, it cannot be claimed that these statements of support were made up or distorted by detractors of the Occupy movement.
As each new controversial endorsement has appeared over the last month, OWS supporters have dismissed them one by one as “isolated examples” that don’t reflect any overall trend toward extremism. SB 234 is on the agenda of the FL Senate Committee on Criminal Justice on Tuesday, February 22nd at 9:00am.
Florida Carry, Inc. urgently requests that you email the members of the committee in support of Senate Bill 234.
This NRA-authored bill comprises several separate initiatives. These include:
the option for CWFL holders to carry openly;
a provision to authorize carry at career centers, colleges, and universities;
the right to store a firearm in one's vehicle wherever it may be lawfully parked;
the authorization for the Department of Agriculture to take fingerprints; and
the repeal of Florida’s ban on long gun purchases in most other states.
Quite simply put, this is the most comprehensive carry rights bill since shall-issue concealed carry was passed twenty-four years ago. Florida is one of only seven states where open carry of firearms is generally forbidden, excepting under certain circumstances.

JASPER, FLORIDA – Robert “Bob” Burton is a deadhead logger in the Florida panhandle. In the course of his business, he stumbled upon some illegal activities carried out by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), including state employees dumping toxic waste in Florida water reclamation areas.
On Friday, Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) agents, dressed in tactical gear and armed with assault rifles, served him with a search warrant. Agents seized his computer, cell phone, and video camera. However, Burton has not been charged with any crime.
He also reported that the DEP had seized a logger’s entire season harvest, even though the logger had the proper permits, and was violating no laws. A judge later ruled that the logger in question had legally harvested the logs, valued at over $300,000, but the DEP has refused to return the logs. He contends that public records regarding this case were intentionally destroyed.
Burton recorded a telephone conversation with Ryan Tyson, the Chief of Staff for State Senator Charles S. “Charlie” Dean, Sr., in which
Tyson may have made incriminating statements regarding DEP activities. Sen. Dean is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environmental Preservation and Conservation. Burton published his conversation with Tyson, along with other evidence of corruption, on YouTube.com.
As of Friday evening, those videos have been deleted by YouTube.
All of that apparently led to deputies and FDLE agents in tactical gear with assault rifles paying him a terrifying visit.
On Friday, January 14 around 7:30 am, Burton got a knock on his door. Standing there was a Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy and several heavily armed FDLE agents. They presented a warrant. Not an arrest warrant, but a warrant to seize Burton’s computer, video camera, cell phone, and documents.
No one was arrested — they just wanted the documents and recordings Burton had made of state officials engaged in what appears to be illegal activities.
Burton’s wife, Katherine “Kathy” Scott, was in the shower at the time. She was forced out of the bathroom. They brought in a female agent to observe her as she dressed.

Rep. Will Snyder listens to the community

What I saw at this meeting was an organized parade of people who invoked the "race card" repeatedly in opposition to this bill. Despite repeated assurances by Reps. Snyder and Harrell, and even by Sheriff Crowder, these people kept hammering at the potential "racial profiling" fear. If you say something often enough, it seems true.
All the speakers were well-behaved and civil, but the overwhelming theme was, "poor me, I'll be singled out by evil police because I'm not white." One speaker (a Mr. Guzman, whom I otherwise agreed with) had the gall to opine that local law enforcement officers were incapable of understanding the complexities of the immigration issue. His point was that enforcement must be left to the federal government. He apparently suffers from the common misconception that federal must be "better."
I wanted to remind him of two things:
- Our local officers are every bit as capable as most federal LEO's and many are better, and
- if immigration laws are so complex that they require a super intellect to enforce, then maybe there's something wrong with the law.
Rep. Snyder was a law enforcement officer for many years. He knows these guys (officers) are motivated by a need to protect the innocent and vulnerable, not by any meanness or cruelty. These complainers can not understand this, as they see only bad in people.
This is not a RACE issue. This is pure ECONOMICS. And the lack of trust that was shown by these complainers was appalling.
