Schedule HB 1315 for the January 25th Session #tcot

The following is a letter from the Martin 9/12 TeaParty Committee in support of our friend George Fuller, who is petitioning the state legislature to closely consider HB 1315 in the House and its companion bill in the Senate, SB 1638. HB 1315 is sponsored by our own Gayle Harrell and must be supported by our members in order to show the Leaders that we care about it.

All of our "sign waving" is lost on Tallahassee!

21 January 2012
Mr. Patronis:

The members of the Martin 9/12 TeaParty Committee want to echo the appeal of George Fuller to focus on the scheduling of HB 1315 for the January 25th Session.  Mr. Fuller's argument is, beyond question, the position of the grassroots voters of this State. We intend to keep this issue in the forefront of state political discourse, and our many associates across the State are listening. The members of the House and Senate who are protecting the illegal workforce should pay close attention.

Our membership was sorely disappointed at the dismissal of this initiative in the last House Session, having swallowed the "strategy" of a comprehensive approach to include measures for state law enforcement of illegal immigration. We are now convinced that such an approach was Tallahassee-speak for "NO."  We are appalled at the conflict of interest among members of the Florida House and Senate.

To reiterate Mr. Fuller's points:
1. We want citizens employed. The use of illegal aliens is tantamount to slavery.
2. We want Florida protected from the inevitable migration of illegal immigrants from states which already use Employment Verification.
3. Voters and taxpayers of Florida are willing to pay a few pennies more for agricultural products to assure a legal labor market.
4. Adopting this measure ahead of the likely legislation (to enforce immigration through deportation) is a prudent step in the process, allowing for self-deportation for "economic reasons."
5. If agriculture in Florida is so dependent on foreign labor, then we are deluding ourselves into believing that agriculture is a strong economic engine in Florida. Dependence does not equal strength.

Chair Patronis:
It is important HB 1315 be heard at the scheduled January 25th committee meeting if it is going to stand any chance of making it through the four committee stops it has been assigned before the session ends. I did a brief study of the last session and found bills with four committees assigned had only a 12% chance of making it through all four committees during the session. In the 2010 session The public e-verify bill sponsored by Sandy Adams had only two committee assignments and the senate companion bill to HB 1315, SB 1638, has only two committee assignments so it appears the number assigned speaks more of politics than necessity.
Here are a few reasons why HB 1315 should be placed on the January 25th committee meeting agenda:

  1. Florida currently ranks 6th highest in the Nation in unemployed workers 17.6% higher than the national average. I have not seen the latest numbers but I know the state has been borrowing from the Feds to pay unemployment claims which is not something I am sure Leadership likes talking about or advertises.
  2. Perhaps you are not aware but Florida is now Sanctuary Florida surrounded by water on three sides and 7 states to our north that have passed e-verify. Illegal aliens are as permanent residents as the law allows and they are leaving the states that have ended their sanctuary status and are looking for other sanctuary states that still allow it. For many Florida is their sanctuary destination and one proof will be increased school enrollment. Perhaps Governor Scott is calling for another $ Billion in the state education fund in anticipation of the influx of foreign kids to be educated on the taxpayer dime.
  3. Every politician in Tallahassee says jobs is priority number one. If so, then act like it and take up HB 1315 which will ensure only legal workers are hired. I know, there are many criminal illegal alien employers associations who say they need the illegal alien labor including the Florida Restaurant Association of which I assume you are a member. If their premise was correct how did restaurants ever survive until illegals came across the border? The same nonsensical argument is put up by the hospitality industry, ag industry and the construction industry. For proof of what I say go to Numbers USA and check how many restaurants, hotels, ag businesses and construction companies voluntarily use e-verify now. The number in Florida is over 14,000 companies with in excess of 40,000 locations. The companies using the "we can't survive without them" argument are simply criminal illegal alien employers looking to use cheap labor. Yes, it is a crime to knowingly hire illegal workers.
  4. Mandatory e-verify works. Many don't know AZ passed e-verify in 2007, put it into effect at the beginning of 2008 and the result was 1/3rd of the illegal alien population self deported in several months. Ag people, and you have a few in the Legislature, say they can't survive without illegal labor. It might interest you to know AZ agriculture business was up in 2010 or over 2009 refuting that argument. If that happened in Florida we could expect 300K or more illegal aliens to<hr> self deport dramatically reducing the $5.5 Billion it costs or more to educate, medicate and incarcerate them. A more recent example is what happened in AL since it passed e-verify. In the two months of September and October 2011 the AL unemployment rate decreased by an astounding 11%! What do you think the destination of illegal aliens who have left and are leaving might be? You can rest assured it won't be LA, MS, TN, GA, NC OR SC that have e-verify as AL does.
  5. Without a workforce employed the economy suffers. With legal workers employed instead of illegal aliens money earned here will circulate here and not be remitted to another country where it does not help our economy.
Finally, call HB 1315 up at the next scheduled meeting on the 25th to show you understand the importance of employing only legal workers in Florida.

WHAT IS THE FUTURE FOR IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT?

It just goes to show as illegal aliens flee Alabama, the unemployment rate is dropping for American labor--as according to several reports? Enforcement policing protocols are having the desired effect, which proves that state immigration laws do work if practiced, condemned and not neglected. My guess is that although I have not heard of any similar hiring statistics in Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina and even Utah, but it wouldn’t surprise me if this news hasn’t been suppressed by the newspapers and the central government. It will be very interesting to learn if promises are kept by the 4 remaining presidential personages. Even Gingrich’s agenda to give the long time illegal aliens some form of pardon, without citizenship. Even if Newt Gingrich triumphs in the election as a new Commander in Chief, his idea of an invader Amnesty still must get the vote to pass it in a TEA PARTY majority House? Whereas, I hate to think of a returning President Obama will have in-store for the United States? Whatever his idea of enforcing immigration laws are, it will just attract even more impoverished and criminals to arrive via our almost unprotected border or by international jet.

Who can we really trust to build the true parallel fences across the width of our nation? The establishment GOP capitalist will always demand cut price labor, with the Democrats hoping that by turning a blind eye, illegal aliens will vote in all elections—leading up to the grand finale in 2012? Most farmers are not innocent in procuring cheap labor, knowing that the taxpayers will be the payee for the health care and the children’s education of unlawful workers. Politicians ignore the huge billion dollar costs for illegal family settlement, that these are court appointed unfunded mandates which has been a fiscal anchor around the necks of the U.S. populace. Does Gingrich, Romney, Santorum or even Paul recognize the financial impact on all 50 states? Welfare benefits have slowed to American citizens, especially in Sanctuary States as California, Nevada and others, because of the financial support to people who have contempt for our laws.

To restrain President Obama and his Liberal progressive Czars as Eric Holder, the only avenue is to elect strict TEA PARTY Constitutionalists in oncoming federal and state elections. There are two points to remember that entering the United States has been intentionally classed by Congress as a civil matter? That it is not classified as a Felony; as it should be? Although being hired for a job or using a stolen ID or another person’s Social Security card can be prosecuted as a felony, as they have committed two crimes. The Tea Party will rescind any covert amnesties, sanctuary city ordinances, chain migration, dream act. The Tea Party are determined to build the 2006 Secure Fences (ACT) and additionally overhaul federal spending. Become acquainted NumbersUSA and learn about the billions of dollars taken from taxpayers in unfunded mandates by pandering to illegal aliens.

This is labeled as a “Backdoor Amnesty.” Washington must enact ‘The Legal Workforce Act ‘Known more commonly as Mandated E-Verify. Plus “The Birthright Citizenship Act” to stop the inducement of bringing unborn infants into the country, that provides free welfare, education and health care. WE THE PEOPLE’S Constitution is under siege by the resident government and must be stopped, when they are allowing illegal aliens back on the streets. BE WARNED THAT NON-CITIZENS HAVE BEEN VOTING AND CERTAINLY WILL AGAIN IN FUTURE ELECTIONS. Every voter should possess official picture ID to vote?

Just come to light and been revealed in the highest levels of government. The Judicial Watch, the legal watchdog group has uncovered massive registration fraud with improprieties involving ACORN and in addition the Department of Justice. Read about the mind bending revelation of this organization that once employed Barack Obama. Judicial Watch is digging out the corruption in Washington DC, of implications to voter fraud; cementing the votes for our resident president by illegal means in our compromised election system. Go to http://www.rightsidenews.com for all the information.

The TEA PARTY does not alienate any race or nationality as the Liberal media would like you to think. It just requests the 1986 Immigration law (IRCA) enforced and not altered to pander to illegal migrants and immigrants.
