This reference to "frontier" areas reveals that this language was developed in Europe. Has anyone heard of this term outside of Europe?
In one of my training classes, we were trained in mapping by a company from the Netherlands. After the first day, I asked, "What the hell is a 'frontier'?" The reference in the training material was to the border areas between European counties (This was before the European Union).
Is anyone else creeped out by this?
