Voter identification, immigration and voter fraud

Identification cards which allow citizens to vote in elections has been a topic of legislation in 34 states.The state of Missouri in 2012 requires acceptable forms of photo Identification to vote which are Driver's Licenses, state identification cards or licenses issued by another state, U.S. passports and military or College IDs.
 
The list also includes some forms that does not require a photo.These are local election authority voter registrations or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check or other government document that contains the name and address of the voter.
According to some surveys there are many voting-age citizens in the country who do not have government issued photo identification.
Every state that has passed a voter Identification law has also ensured that individuals who do not have a photo ID can easily obtain one for free if they cannot afford one. In Missouri personal IDs are required to open a bank account,cash checks, use a credit/debit card, apply for food stamps or welfare, rent property, buy prescription drugs to boarding airlines. Many daily social tasks require positive identification including driving a vehicle.

Thanks for the informative write-up. Personal identification is very important in all means. This is important for legal matters such as immigration purposes, canadian visa application, voter application etc..
