A Culture Shattered

With view of a pivotal  Supreme Court ruling forthcoming this month, I’ve just written a 5-part commentary that I believe to be a defining issue for Western culture and Christianity.

The Federalist: Alexander Hamilton: Immigrant, Bastard, Patriot

Alexander Hamilton: Immigrant, Bastard, Patriot
Alexander Hamilton was a bastard, but he was a righteous bastard.
By       18, 2015
Alexander Hamilton was a bastard. Indeed, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson never tired of calling him that – the ‘Bastard Brat of a Scots Pedlar’ who infuriated them time and again. They called him this for one reason above all: that when it came to forming the American nation, Alexander Hamilton ate their lunch. In the debate over the course America ought to take, it is Hamilton’s vision of the American economic structure, the American system of government, and the American system of federalism that prevailed over the visions of others. It was a vision that largely endured for a century and a half, and in that time saw a collection of colonies and a sleepy agrarian economy transformed into the greatest nation the world ever knew. The inventions of an aggressively active mind who did not live to see them turned out to sustain the freedoms of a people Hamilton loved with the love of an adopted son.
Had Alexander Hamilton died taking Redoubt Ten at Yorktown, bayonets fixed and muskets unloaded, he would have died a more significant American than his fellow Columbia student Barack Obama, who has now deigned to displace him from the ten dollar bill.

E. Calvin Beisner, Ph.D., is Founder and National Spokesman of The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, which in late April released at a press conference outside the Vatican “An Open Letter to Pope Francis on Climate Change,” now signed by nearly 200 scientists, economists, theologians, and others with expertise on climate change and climate-and-energy policy.

Refugee Resettlement: A Clear and Present Danger to Our Nation

By James Simpson

This week, the Center for Security Policy published my latest work, The Red-Green Axis: Refugees, Immigration and the Agenda to Erase America. It reveals a malevolent component of our dysfunctional immigration system that has largely flown under the radar: refugee resettlement. This article highlights a few of its findings.

Hatched by the U.N. and the American Left, the resettlement agenda is dedicated to erasing our culture, traditions and laws, and creating a compliant, welfare-dependent multicultural society with no understanding of America’s constitutional framework and no interest in assimilation. The ultimate target is a voting base large enough for the Left’s long-sought “permanent progressive majority.”

CORPORATISM IN THREE LETTERS: TPP

CORPORATISM IN THREE LETTERS: TPP

by Steven Neill

Never, Never, NEVER Surrender to TPP
Imagine, if you will, a trade agreement that will cost millions of American jobs and thousands of American businesses[1] while granting foreign corporation outrageous new powers to attack the laws we rely on for a clean environment, safe food and decent jobs. It does this by providing foreign firms the unlimited ability to drag the US government in front of foreign tribunals composed of 3 private attorneys authorized to order massive payouts.[2] These lawyers will rotate between being “judges” and suing governments for the corporations in a twisted system called the “investor-state” regime. It give an individual foreign corporation equal status with the US federal government - allowing the foreign firms to privately enforce a public treaty.
Imagine these totally unaccountable corporate lawyers being loosed on a system set up to ensure corporate profits.
