RESOLUTION OF THE MARTIN COUNTY REPUBLICAN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

FOR EXPOSING UNITED NATIONS AGENDA 21

WHEREAS, the United Nations Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of extreme environmentalism, social engineering and international political subterfuge that was initiated at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992; and

WHEREAS, the United Nations Agenda 21 is being covertly pushed into local communities throughout the United States of America through the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) through local “sustainable development” policies such as Smart Growth, Wildlands Project, Resilient Cities, Regional Visioning Projects, and other “Green” or “Alternative” projects; and

WHEREAS, this United Nations Agenda 21 plan of radical so-called “sustainable development” views the American way of life of private property ownership, single family homes, private car ownership, individual travel choices and privately owned farms all as destructive to the environment; and

WHEREAS, according to the United Nations Agenda 21 policy, social justice is described as the right of all people to benefit equally from the “resources afforded us by society and the environment” which would be accomplished by socialistic/communistic redistribution of wealth; and

WHEREAS, United Nations Agenda 21 policy disregards national sovereignty in pursuit of “social protection” as articulated in the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights and similarly in “The Draft International Covenant on Environment and Development” (DICED) which was developed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) with offices in Gland, Switzerland and Cambridge, UK., and the International Council on Environmental Law (ICEL) in Bonn, Germany, to control population growth, re-distribute wealth, force social and “economic equity and justice,” economic control, consumption control, land and water use control, and re-settlement control as a form of social engineering; and

WHEREAS, the U.S. government has improperly committed the resources of the United States government by issuance of Presidential Executive Order 12852 in 1993 and by other more recent executive orders, has subsequently required state and local governments to comply with the concepts and policies of sustainable development as a condition of funding local projects in violation of Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution. Agenda 21 repudiates the legal concepts of private property and individual sovereignty, and its promotion among agencies of government jeopardizes our republican form of government; and

WHEREAS, Federal agencies that are members of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) include the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, Agriculture (Forest Service), Interior (Fish and Wildlife, National Park Service), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The same agencies are members of the White House Rural Council and the newly established White House Council on Strong Cities, Strong Communities (Executive Order, March 15, 2012); and

WHEREAS, the Republican National Committee (RNC) passed a resolution January 13, 2012, exposing Agenda 21 for what it is: a disregard for American sovereignty, private property rights, and a major strategy in the Leftist move toward a one-world government.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Martin County Republican Executive Committee expresses its support for the Republican National Committee in recognizing the destructive and insidious nature of Agenda 21 and supports the RNC efforts to expose to the public and public policy makers the dangerous intent of the plan; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that officials of the federal, state and local governments across the country are cautioned to become well-informed of the potentially harmful effects of implementation of United Nations Agenda 21's destructive strategies for “sustainable development,” and we hereby encourage rejection of its radical policies and rejection of any grant monies attached to it; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Board of the Republican Party of Martin County encourages the Republican Party of Florida to join us in supporting the Republican National Committee in its efforts to expose United Nations Agenda 21, and to request that the other Counties of the State of Florida forward their own written statements of support.

Approved and adopted this 9th Day of April, 2012, at a meeting of the members in Stuart, Martin County, Florida.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was adopted by the Martin County Republican Executive Committee.
